Equi-First Aid USA instructors undergo intensive training, testing, and must adhere to a high standard, keeping up with ongoing updates and methodology as they are presented by our Veterinarians and the Advisory Board. Their education continues as they remain with the organization.
They are under an instructor agreement with Equi-First Aid USA and must retain their current and valid certification through a minimum number of teaching engagements per year, a strict code of ethics they must adhere to and they must hold current teaching liability insurance.

Heather holds her Power TM MBA and is a dynamic and experienced businessperson, published writer, keynote speaker, and has an extensive background in education training.
Ross is a retired police officer with an impressive background in equine training, competition and search and rescue. He is a published author and Queens jubilee award recipient
Dr. Taylor is a large animal veterinarian, specializing in emergency first aid. He is an integral part of our ongoing education program for our trainers.
Sue is an active military member, proudly serving her country, while she actively works on verifying educational content to help our followers learn more about the care and well-being of their horses.
Tiffany is a licensed equine massage therapist, and holds her degree in clinical psychology. She brings a wealth of experience in helping horses feel better, as well as helping horse owners work through the emotions surrounding emergencies with thier animals.
Amber has an extensive background in the medical field, as well as experience as an equine education program developer for job corps students. She has been an integral part of Equi-First Aid USA, training new instructors, contributing to new program development and company growth and corporate awareness.
Karen is a practicing farrier who took her training in Guelph. She is an expert in equine lameness and continues to keep our programs up to date with ongoing information around hoof diseases and conditions.
